Business Development Representative - Tech Solutions

The Company

Our client is a well-established Australian technology solutions provider with a strong market presence and backing from a major global IT organisation. They specialise in enterprise technology solutions working with businesses across multiple sectors.

With continued growth and expansion plans, they're looking to strengthen their commercial team to support new client acquisition.

The Role

This is a frontline sales development position focused on creating and qualifying new business opportunities. You'll be responsible for initiating conversations with prospective clients, identifying their technology challenges, and connecting them with the appropriate sales specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute multi-channel outreach strategies including phone, email, and LinkedIn to engage target accounts
  • Assess inbound leads and direct them to the appropriate account executives
  • Secure qualified meetings with IT and business leaders in mid to large enterprises
  • Partner with marketing on campaign development and lead nurturing initiatives
  • Leverage sales tools including CRM platforms, sales intelligence software, and intent data
  • Maintain accurate activity tracking and analyse results to optimise conversion rates
  • Develop working knowledge of IT services and solutions to have credible conversations
  • Operate with autonomy while contributing to team objectives
What You'll Need
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in sales development, lead generation, or similar within B2B technology
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate conversations, identify business needs, and create interest in technical solutions
  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Strong communication skills across phone, email, and professional social platforms
  • Self-motivated approach with ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or related discipline (preferred)
  • Persistence and resilience in managing outbound prospecting cycles
  • Capability to engage confidently with C-suite and senior IT stakeholders
  • Background with IT services providers, managed service providers, or technology vendors highly regarded
