Commercial Finance Manager - Partner National Sales

Our client is a well-established, large-scale Australian manufacturing business operating across a national footprint. With a complex commercial environment and a strong focus on growth, they are a market leader in their sector with a collaborative culture and a high-performing finance function.

We're looking for a commercially sharp finance professional to step into a high-impact role as Commercial Manager – Sales Finance. This is a true business partnering position, sitting at the intersection of finance, commercial strategy, and sales performance – working closely with the Sales Directors and their national teams to drive smarter commercial decisions.

Whether you're a seasoned FP&A operator looking for broader commercial exposure or a finance business partner ready to own pricing and modelling at scale, this role offers genuine influence and visibility within a business that moves.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Act as the primary finance business partner to Sales Directors and their national teams, translating financial data into clear commercial insights
  • Lead FP&A activity for the commercial function – budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and monthly reporting
  • Own pricing strategy and commercial modelling, providing analysis and recommendations to support deal structures, contract negotiations, and growth initiatives
  • Challenge the status quo on margin and profitability, identifying risk and opportunity across channels and customer segments
  • Build strong working relationships across the business – finance, sales, and operations – to ensure aligned decision-making
  • Support strategic projects and ad-hoc analysis as the business evolves through the contract period
What We're Looking For
  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent), with 6+ years of relevant finance experience
  • Proven background in FP&A, commercial finance, or finance business partnering – ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, or a similarly complex national business
  • Strong commercial acumen with hands-on pricing and modelling experience
  • A natural relationship builder who can influence without authority and translate numbers into narrative
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP and BI tools highly regarded
  • Available for a 12–18 month fixed term contract, with the ability to hit the ground running
