About the Organisation
One of Australia's leading universities is looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Manager, to join them on a 6 month fixed-term contract. With substantial revenue across research, commercial, and academic streams, the finance function here operates at genuine scale and complexity.
What You'll Be Doing - Serve as the primary finance partner to faculty leadership, translating complex financial data into clear commercial guidance
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning across the faculty's business units
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support major initiatives and investment decisions
- Provide reporting and insights that inform strategic direction at the executive level
What You'll Bring - CA or CPA qualified, with a relevant accounting or finance degree
- Commercial Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner experience from a large complex corporate.
- A track record of influencing senior stakeholders through clear, confident financial advice
- Strong commercial acumen and advanced modelling capability
- Excellent communication — you can hold a room with executives and academics alike
