Document Controller
Join a critical project for a major Australian business operating in the infrastructure sector as they deliver significant infrastructure supporting industry growth. Following cost escalation on a large-scale infrastructure program, our client is establishing a dedicated team to conduct a comprehensive spend analysis and manage stakeholder inquiries. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project requiring robust governance and financial accountability.
As Document Controller, you will be the cornerstone of information management for this strategic project. You'll work alongside a team of financial analysts tasked with investigating project expenditure across people, property, biodiversity initiatives, and community engagement programs.
This role will initially be structured as 3-4 months to start with a view to extend due to ongoing needs for the project.
Key Responsibilities: - Establish and maintain a comprehensive document control system for all project spend analysis findings
- Capture and categorise information from analyst team outputs across multiple spend categories (labour, property, environmental, community projects)
- Ensure all documentation is structured, version-controlled, and readily retrievable for reporting purposes
- Create and maintain audit trails that clearly demonstrate expenditure rationale and budget variance explanations
- Liaise with analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure complete and accurate information capture
- Prepare documentation packages in response to stakeholder queries and information requests
- Maintain strict confidentiality and data security protocols throughout the project lifecycle
- Generate reports and summaries from the document management system as required
Key Skills: - Proven experience as a Document Controller
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with document management systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work with large volumes of information across multiple categories and sources
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Self-motivated with ability to establish systems and processes
