Financial Modelling Analyst - Property

DMC is thrilled to be partnering with a mid-sized property developer and investment group in their search for a Financial Modelling Analyst to join their growing team. With a strong track record of delivering high-quality residential developments, the business has built a reputation for combining disciplined investment decisions with thoughtful development execution.
  
In light of this, the team is currently recruiting an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior decision-makers and play a genuine role in shaping investment outcomes rather than simply reporting the numbers. This role sits at the intersection of acquisitions, development and finance, giving you direct exposure to the full lifecycle of development deals from early feasibility through to delivery.

The primary focus of this role is feasibility modelling and commercial analysis to support land acquisitions and development investment decisions. Working closely with the Acquisitions and Development teams, you’ll build and maintain detailed financial models that assess project viability, test assumptions and provide clear recommendations to leadership and investment committees.
  


In this role, you will: 

  • Build and maintain detailed financial feasibility models for new and existing development opportunities
  • Translate project inputs into clear outputs including project cashflows, margins, IRR and peak funding requirements
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis across key variables including pricing, construction costs, timing and absorption
  • Provide commercial insight to support land acquisition and development investment decisions
  • Partner with FP&A to support forecasting, budgeting and cashflow analysis across the development pipeline
  • Deliver variance analysis and financial insights comparing project performance against feasibility assumptions
  • Assist with capital planning and funding visibility across multiple projects

About You:
  • Ideally CA/CPA/CFA qualified (or similar)
  • 5+ years’ experience in property development finance, commercial finance, FP&A or transactions
  • Strong financial modelling capability (advanced Excel essential)
  • Experience building or working with development feasibility models
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to interpret complex project inputs and translate them into clear financial insights
  • Confident communicating with non-finance stakeholders
