Senior Cost Controller - Construction Projects
We're working with a large Australian corporate delivering capital programs — and they need someone who can own the numbers end to end.
The Role Reporting into the Major Projects leadership team, you'll take ownership of cost control across a complex portfolio of capital works. This isn't a reporting role — you'll be embedded with project teams, providing real commercial insight and driving accountability across the business.
What You'll Do - Lead cost planning, forecasting and control across major infrastructure projects
- Deliver accurate financial reporting and variance analysis to senior stakeholders
- Partner with project managers to maintain budgets and flag risks early
- Drive cost performance culture across project teams
- Utilise project management and financial systems to maintain data integrity
- Support commercial decision-making with clear, timely financial insight
What We're Looking For - Proven experience in cost control on major capital or infrastructure projects
- Strong background in cost planning, budget management and financial reporting
- Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting or Engineering
- Commercially sharp with excellent stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to cut through complexity and communicate clearly
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
