Senior Finance Business Partner - Infrastructure
A well-established infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead a regulatory submission processes. This role will directly support funding approval for the next regulatory period.
As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll coordinate financial aspects of regulatory submissions, working with senior leadership and business units to ensure accurate, compliant funding requests.
You'll connect project teams, finance, and regulatory requirements, ensuring capital portfolios are properly represented in submissions.
What You'll Be Doing - Leading preparation and coordination of regulatory submissions
- Partnering with business units to validate capital expenditure forecasts and operational costs
- Performing due diligence on business unit data before submission
- Supporting rate modeling teams with audit-ready financial information
- Working with project finance teams to validate infrastructure investment cases
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory modeling requirements and quality standards
- Providing financial insights to senior leadership on regulatory impacts
- Acting as trusted advisor to business units throughout submission processes
What You Bring
Essential:
- CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years in regulated utilities or infrastructure finance
- Proven experience with regulatory submissions
- Understanding of regulated frameworks and revenue determination processes
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting and analytical capabilities
- Experience working with business units to validate capex budgets and project forecasts
- Confident stakeholder management across senior finance and operational leadership
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business guidance
Highly Regarded:
- Direct experience with utilities networks (electricity, water, gas, transport) or regulated entities
- Exposure to regulatory revenue determination processes
- Understanding of infrastructure regulatory frameworks
- Background in project finance or capital portfolio management
- Experience supporting regulatory modeling teams
