Senior Financial Reporting Manager - Renewables

Our client is a dynamic leader in the renewable energy sector, driving innovation and sustainable growth. We're seeking an exceptional Senior Financial Reporting Manager to provide maternity leave coverage for a key leadership position in their expanding finance team.

This is a fantastic chance to make an immediate impact in a high-growth renewables organisation. You'll step into an established role with clear processes and a supportive team, and you'll have the opportunity to bring your own expertise to drive continuous improvement during this nine-month tenure.

As Senior Financial Reporting Manager, you will provide strategic technical advisory across:
  • Advise on complex accounting treatments, new standards implementation (AASB 15, 16, etc.), and technical interpretations for renewable energy transactions
  • Provide technical guidance on statutory reporting requirements, disclosure assessments, and regulatory compliance matters
  • Advise on accounting implications of business combinations, joint ventures, asset acquisitions, and financing arrangements in the renewables sector
  • Research and interpret accounting standards, provide position papers on complex technical issues, and establish accounting policies
  • Guide teams on ASIC requirements, audit coordination, and regulatory reporting obligations
  • Partner with legal, tax, and commercial teams to assess financial reporting impacts of strategic initiatives
  • Recommend enhancements to financial reporting processes, system implementations, and control frameworks
Role Requirements:
  • CA/CPA
  • Corporate statutory reporting background
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • Proficiency with financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to present complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven track record in team development and collaborative leadership
  • Proven ability to excel in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities
