Senior FP&A Analyst - Infrastructure
This role sits within the projects finance function of a large organisation delivering major infrastructure programs across Australia. The position exists to strengthen financial oversight across a significant capital portfolio and acting as a key link between teams.
The role partners closely with project commercial teams, finance business partners and delivery stakeholders to consolidate, review and challenge project financial performance. This position focuses on forecasting, capex reporting and executive‑level financial insight to ensure projects remain commercially and financially on track.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with project commercial teams and finance stakeholders across major infrastructure projects
- Consolidate and review project forecasts, budgets and cost‑to‑complete reporting
- Prepare monthly project performance packs, capex reporting and executive summaries
- Deliver variance analysis and provide clear commentary on project risks, cost movements and delivery impacts
- Support project governance, investment reporting and financial oversight across the capital portfolio
- Work closely with Group Finance to ensure accurate portfolio reporting and forecast integrity
- Assist with cash flow forecasting, financial modelling and scenario analysis
- Challenge assumptions and provide commercial insight to support decision‑making
Key Skills and Experience We’re Looking For:
- CA or CPA qualified
- Experience in FP&A, project finance, commercial finance or finance business partnering
- Exposure to infrastructure, construction, engineering, utilities or large‑scale project environments highly regarded
- Strong forecasting and reporting capability
- Ability to partner effectively with operational and non‑finance stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to senior stakeholders
