Senior FP&A Analyst

DMC Recruitment is thrilled to be partnering with a leading energy organisation in their search for a Senior Analyst to join their FP&A function, supporting enterprise-wide financial planning, performance analysis, and decision-making.
  
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this role sits at the centre of budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles. In addition to this is a focus on leading projects and process improvement initiatives across the group and owning their execution.
  

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own  FP&A processes across month-end, budgeting, forecasting, business planning, capex, opex, and cash flow
  • Source and transform data from systems and improve reporting through automation tools like Power Query
  • Deliver clear, insight-led analysis for executive and board-level reporting, focusing on drivers, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain integrated financial models across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
  • Partner with Commercial Finance, Corporate Finance, and Treasury to support business-wide decision-making
  • Identify process improvements to enhance reporting quality, efficiency, and controls

Key requirements:
  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent) with a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • Strong FP&A experience across budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems 
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, cash flow, and capital/regulatory drivers
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to challenge assumptions and provide actionable insights
  • Confident communicator, able to present to senior stakeholders and translate complex data clearly
  • Track record of driving process improvements, automation, and high-quality outputs
