Senior Fund Accountant
DMC Recruitment is thrilled to be partnering with a highly regarded and high-growth Fund Manager who are currently recruiting a Senior Fund Accountant into their expanding private credit team.
This role sits within a recently launched, private debt fund that is actively scaling, with strong investor demand and increasing operational complexity. It’s a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the engine room of a fund, rather than sitting in a narrow processing role.
In this role, you'll join a lean, high-performance fund finance team responsible for the day-to-day operation of a private credit fund offering regular income distributions.
The role is operations-led, with strong exposure to fund accounting, NAV oversight, cash management, and investor activity. You’ll work closely with the investment team, external administrators, and senior finance stakeholders, playing a key role in ensuring the fund runs smoothly as it continues to grow.
In this role, you will: - Oversee outsourced fund accounting and registry services, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Monthly NAV review, unit pricing, and investor close processes
- Daily cash and transaction reconciliations across private debt investments
- Monitoring interest accruals, income receipts, and fund expenses
- Monthly investor reporting and income distributions
- Supporting investor onboarding, AML/KYC checks, and registry processes
- Acting as a key point of contact between the investment team, administrator, and internal finance
- Assisting with quarterly and annual financial reporting, audits, and tax processes
- Supporting new investment activity and fund-level projects as the platform evolves
We are looking for the following experience / skills: - Strong academic results from university; ideally High Credit / Distinction average or better
- 5+ years’ experience in fund accounting, fund operations, or fund administration
- Exposure to private credit or debt funds is crucial
- Strong understanding of NAV processes, cash flows, and fund operations
- Comfortable working in a BAU-heavy environment with periods of project work
- Good communicator, comfortable dealing with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders
- CA or CPA qualified (desirable but not requirement)
Experience from either a fund manager or fund administrator background is welcomed.
Why this role stands out - Join a growing private credit platform rather than a mature, static fund
- Exposure to senior finance leadership and investment teams
- Real ownership across fund operations, not siloed responsibilities
- Strong institutional standards in a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Competitive salary and long-term development opportunity
